THE SHIFT casts a new light on modern Folk music by incorporating alternative rock, bluegrass and reggae. They pair profound lyrics with enticing melodies, which captivate the heart and ignite the mind.

THE SHIFT is a 6 piece, multi-generational family band from the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. True to their name, their genre is ever shifting, playing everything from rock, reggae, folk and bluegrass, creating an entirely new sound with BIG energy that gets people up and dancing. What is consistent are THE SHIFT’s lyrics, created with the intent to inspire positive change and bring unity to diverse people.

The full band was formed during the pandemic, and as restrictions eased, THE SHIFT’s theatrical and engaging performances quickly gained them momentum in the festival scene. They have performed alongside acts such as Wookiefoot, Nattali Rize, Tim Snider, Sierra Marin, Amber Lily, Aaron Hale, Leon Hendricks, Torin Frost & Patterns of Saturn, Ramblxr, and Three Wheels Turning. They have performed at festivals all over the US and now have their sites set on branching out internationally.
